Celebrations include performances by musicians, events for families, tours, workshops, exhibitions, movie screenings under the open skies and more. The central event will be held at the Armon HaNatziv Promenade, and will include a performance by Harel Ska’at. The festivities will start at Sacher Park with performances by the artists including – Central Stage: Carolina Shalom Hanoch, Shlomi Shabat, HaDag Nachash, Beri Sakharoff, Bint el Punk, The Collective, Geva Alon, Uzi Ramirez, Marina Maximillian, and DJ Darwish. The White Night events will continue at the City Center: street parties, food and drink stands, and cool attractions! A sunrise performance by the Balkan Beat Box will take place at Safra Square and the Breakfast Club. The Convention will include several events which will be held throughout the city, in Nachlaot, Armon HaNatziv, Ammunition Hill, Mount Scopus and Gay Ben Hinom Valley. Fifteen-thousand teenagers from all over the country will take part in the convention, and will visit various sites throughout the city, ending the day at a youth rally at the Sultan’s Pool at 6:30 PM. At 3:00 PM – Shelach Salutes the Fallen – a ceremony at the Western Wall with the participation of 4,000 teenagers. The program includes poetry readings, Psalm readings, videos and HaTikva. Program timeline: 10:00 AM -Arrival to Jerusalem. 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM - Tours and visits throughout the city. 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM – Central rally at the Sultan's Pool with Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat; Minister of Education, Shai Piron; CEO of the Ministry of Education, Michal Cohen; Head of the Youth and Society Administration, Erez Eshel; Head of Shelach and the Land of Israel Studies Division, Eli Shayish; and 7,000 teenagers. Yakir Yerushalayim Ceremony at the Tower of David- 8:00 PM Attended by Mayor Nir Barkat. The Yakir Award will be given to 12 Jerusalem residents this year. The award is given to people who have contributed to and influenced the lives of all city residents. The event is by invitation only. Central Holiday Rally for the Eve of Jerusalem Day at Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva- 8:00 PM A large central rally commemorating Jerusalem Day at Merkaz HaRav with the Lehava orchestra and singer Mendi Jaruffi. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, and Mayor Nir Barkat, will be present at the event, together with other public figures and a huge audience. At the end of the central rally at Merkaz HaRav, the Yeshiva students will start their traditional march through Jerusalem to the Western Wall. Ammunition Hill – 7:30 PM Singing songs of love for Jerusalem, and songs written by those who love Jerusalem, together at the site’s new amphitheater, hosted by Tzlil Biran with the participation of Ruchama Raz and Aharom Perrera Price: NIS 40. By invitation only. “Flag Dance” Parade - Prayer and rally 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM The parade takes place on Jerusalem Day starting from 4:00 PM every year. The parade is accompanied by dancing, singing, and waving of the flags of Israel and is produced by the “Am K'Lavi” Society. Tens of thousands of people, who come from Israel and around the world, attend the parade annually.
