Follow the Aliyah story from Abraham’s entry into the land of Canaan until his descendant’s journey there many thousand years later. First Abraham command by G-d, takes his wife Sara and nephew Lot into Canaan.
Abraham’s descendent Joseph arrives in Egypt, an exile from the Promised Land. Moses the law giver, leads the exodus out of Egyptian bondage through the parting sea. Jews return home and Canaan becomes Israel. They set up a temple to the G-d of Israel. Their temple later destroyed, many Jews are cast into the Diaspora. Stateless they full prey to savage attacks until the doors of the Promised Land are once more opened.
Today, the Jewish ascent to live in Israel brings added meaning to the word Aliyah, and takes our Aliyah Story to a whole new chapter.
